I love this quote from Dave Barry because we at NextGen are always looking at what unites us as a team- what makes us stronger. Is it our similarities? Is it our differences? How can we build on those and embrace them?
At NextGen we are thrilled that we are one of the country’s leading staffing companies, yet what we are most proud of is that our work is about working together to achieve success in the workplace. We strive to help support a good work-life balance, have a positive impact on our community, and help create a productive and purposeful work environment for our clients and our consultants in the field. Founded by Carmen Jacob, a native of Guatemala and a woman pioneer in a very male dominated industry, NextGen’s history is steeped in a spirit of entrepreneurship and commitment to diversity in the workplace. That is in part why we at NextGen have been so committed to diversity; we are passionate about it. We strive each day in helping to build a better workforce and a better workplace.

We are excited and proud to be a driving force in these efforts and applaud all those who support diversity in the workplace.
In particular, at NextGen we’ve expanded our own Definition of Diversity. Our definition includes that every individual is unique and while we not only recognize our differences we embrace them and it involves not only tolerance of these differences but acceptance and respect. In addition we not only include race and gender when we talk about diversity, but also ethnicity and economic status, age and physical abilities, disabilities, religious and political beliefs, sexual orientation and socio-economic status. Most importantly, it is in helping to create a work environment to support our dynamic differences and the many powerful dimensions that diversity encourages. We pride ourselves on these principles.
