2012- A Year in Review

It's that time of year again- the time where we reflect on what we've accomplished this year and look ahead to what we hope to do in the next year. The staff at NextGen decided to look back at everything that's happened this year- here's just a few of the highlights from 2012:

This year NextGen went through an extensive rebranding process, from the addition of new staff members, to a new website, to even moving the office to a new location!

In 2012, NextGen added new members to all areas of the business, including IT and professional recruiters and a new sales representative. Early in 2012, a sourcing team was also formed. Since being formed, the sourcing team has played a big role in helping the recruiters and helping manage NextGen's social media presence and community involvement.

By the end of the year, the brand new website was launched, featuring our new logo along with several new features for prospective candidates. Representatives from many local businesses also were in attendance for the re-branding launch party held in November. Attendees took part in great art, food, and music while getting to see some of the changes made in the company and also benefit local charities.

Staff Events:

Days of .Net

NextGen acted as a sponsor for the Days of .NET conference and made ourselves available to chat about our services with talented professionals local to the St. Louis area, as well as nationwide.  We spent the day speaking with hundreds of people skilled in, and interested in learning more about .NET.  We proved to be a very popular booth with our drawing for St. Louis Cardinals tickets and Gus’s Pretzels (a St. Louis favorite). 

The Price is Right
From time to time the NextGen staff holds team building fun events. This year the entire staff was invited to join in a fun evening of food and games by attending The Price is Right Live. Even though nobody from our office was chosen to be a contestant on the show, it was a lot of fun to cheer on the other contestants and spend time together outside of the office.

Race for the Cure
In June,  some of the NextGen staff, along with their families, came together to participate in the Susan G. Komen Foundation's Annual Race for the Cure. It was a lot of fun to join over 51,000 people to help fight breast cancer!

United Way Partnership
This year, NextGen partnered with the United Way for several events throughout the year. Over the summer, NextGen and Michael Kors teamed up to put on an event for St. Louis female professionals, called Purses With a Purpose.  Female professionals from the area enjoyed champagne, cheesecake, and enjoyed great Michael Kors merchandise while benefitting the United Way Women's Business Council.

NextGen also partnered with the United Way to help benefit the Kingdom House. Staff members spent an afternoon helping in the consignment shop and food pantry. The staff also held a food, clothing, and toy drive to benefit the Kingdom House and St. Louis Food Bank- we ended up raising over $6000 of goods!

2012 was certainly a busy year for NextGen. We can't wait to see what 2013 has in store!
