Sister Salute recognizes Carmen Jacob for contributing to society

The Sister Salute organization acknowledged eight Hispanic women of St. Louis at the Women of Color awards event May 11, 2012. The awards were given to the women for their exemplary work in the community and excellence in their contributions to society, and one of the honorees that night was NextGen founder and CEO, Carmen Jacob.

Here is what Red Latina Magazine said about Carmen Jacob's recognition:
Maria del Carmen Jacob is Founder and Executive Director of NextGen Information Services, Inc. Carmen started NextGen in 1997 as a regional personnel recruitment and business consulting services organization, which has grown to a $70 million company. NextGen is a certified minority and woman-owned business. Mrs. Jacob started her career as executive assistant to the Minister of Public Services in Guatemala. She is licensed in nursing and in business and has  worked in the banking sector as a warranty analyst. She and her husband worked for eight years in Latin America managing operations and Information Technology. Her family moved to St. Louis, where in 1997 they together founded a personnel recruitment services company, NextGen Information Services. NextGen is a leading provider of Information Technology (IT) staff to the largest Fortune 500 companies nationwide.
Other award recipients at the Women of Color event were Carmen S. Dence, Dinorah Viñas Bommarito, Haniny M. Hillberg, Elena García Kenyon, Jalesia F. MacQueen, Ciléia Miranda-Yuen, and Eileen Wolfington. A big thank you to all of these women for choosing to have a positive impact on the community!
